VAPORS: Brussels’ Largest Street Art Takeover (2019)

A Look Back at a Milestone for the Belgian Urban Scene.

Between November 22nd and December 15th, 2019, Brussels witnessed its most ambitious street art and graffiti exhibition to date: VAPORS. As both an artist and an actor in this movement, I was proud to be part of this monumental project curated by the Propaganza Urban Artists.

50 Artists. 150 Works. One Legacy.

VAPORS wasn’t just a gallery show; it was a takeover. Held in an exceptional Brussels venue, the exhibition gathered 50 of the most influential Belgian artists to showcase the sheer diversity of our current scene. With more than 150 works, installations, and massive frescoes, the event redefined the scale of urban art in the capital.

“An exhibition, but not just an exhibition. Two afterworks with DJ sets, live painting, cap customization, signing spaces and interviews with artists.”ELLE.be

My Contribution: Merging Muralism and Gallery Work

For this edition, I had the opportunity to present works that bridge the gap between my large-scale street murals and the intimacy of studio pieces. Sharing the walls with fellow artists like Nean, Locatelli, Iota, and Piet Rodriguez created a unique synergy that resonated with thousands of visitors.

The core concept of VAPORS was to promote the actors of this “aerosol world” and encourage direct exchange with the public. Through live painting sessions and signing spaces, we turned the traditional exhibition format into a living urban festival.

Exhibition Highlights:

Featured Artists: Nean, Adrien Roubens, Locatelli, Iota, Piet Rodriguez, and 45 others.

Dates: Nov 22 – Dec 15, 2019

Scale: 150+ Artworks & Site-specific Installations

Curation: Propaganza Urban Artists
