Langenstein’s work is a figurative study of the landscape, yet revealed in a way that only a magician could conjure, as aptly written by Robert Pujade in the book dedicated to the artist’s photography. His images invite us into a universe of shapes and colors at the very edge of the known world, as if the farmer had created an installation where the environment multiplies into a series of paintings.
Reflections of Abstraction
Photography is often forgotten as a practice of abstraction. One recognizes a photographer by this particular propensity to retain from the visible world only what captures their interest.

In 2015, Bernard Langenstein extended his vision by creating monumental resin sculptures, showcased for the first time in Lille at the ART’UP fair. Today, these “ballerons”—these curious objects of desire—travel and inhabit new spaces, exposing their natural beauty. These life-sized bales captivate the viewer through their roundness and organic sensuality.
From Street Art to Nature’Art: The Encounter

From the meeting with Adrien Roubens, a young Belgian artist, graphic designer, and street artist, was born the idea of a joint creation on this incredible territory of expression: these round and sensual surfaces. It is upon this new medium that photography, sculpture, and painting enrich one another, carrying their messages to engage the spectator with poetic nuances.

Le travail de Bernard est un geste figuratif sur le paysage, mais tel qu’un magicien seul peut nous le révéler, comme l’écrit avec justesse Robert Pujade. Ses images nous invitent à entrer dans un univers de formes et de couleurs aux frontières du monde connu, comme si l’agriculteur avait créé une installation où son environnement se démultiplierait en une série de tableaux.
Reflets d’Abstraction

Depuis 2015, ce travail s’est prolongé par la création de sculptures monumentales en résine, dévoilées pour la première fois à Lille lors du salon ART’UP. Aujourd’hui, ces ballerons — curieux objets de désir — voyagent et investissent de nouveaux lieux. À taille réelle, ils interpellent par leur rondeur et leur sensualité organique.
Du Street Art au Nature’Art : La Rencontre
Ce projet est né d’idées partagées sur l’architecture, la peinture et la photographie. De la rencontre avec Adrien Roubens, artiste belge, designer graphique et street artist, est née l’idée d’une création commune sur cet incroyable territoire d’expression que sont ces surfaces rondes.
C’est sur ce nouveau média que la photographie, la sculpture et la peinture s’enrichissent mutuellement. Ensemble, nous portons un message poétique qui interpelle le spectateur, transformant un monument du paysage rural en une œuvre d’art contemporaine totale.
